I am an eye specialist in Cataract surgery, Cornea & Refractive Surgery and Dry Eye.

What are your areas of interest in Ophthalmology?

My areas of interest are Femto blade-free cataract surgery, SICS, Femto bladefree LASIK, PRK, ICL, Dry Eye Treatment, Keratoplasty, DALK, DSAEK & Keratoconus treatment.

Where did you study?

I had the honor of attending India's leading institutes: including KMC Manipal, RIO Trivandrum and Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. I am also a Fellow of the International College of Ophthalmology. I also worked in rural India before becoming a cornea and cataract surgeon in Delhi-NCR.

Other Academic Achievements?

Over the last decade, I have been actively involved in research and treatment of keratoconus, refractive procedures such as LASIK and all types of cataract surgery.

I have published in over 20 peer reviewed journals and won recognition at many prestigious Indian, European & American Ophthalmology Meetings.

I also have been awarded the International Heroes Award three times by the All India Ophthalmic Society. In 2015, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons Conference at San Francisco, awarded me the Best Video in Cataract Surgery.

I was also honored to receive the prestigious Travel Grant from the Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology in 2017.

Being a cataract specialist and also performing cornea transplants — I have had the good fortune of helping restore vision to thousands of patients and hope to help many more.

What inspired you to choose ophthalmology?

I love speaking to people and trying to help them. Ophthalmology always fascinated me and I wanted to continue my grandfather’s dream- it inspired me to become a better eye doctor.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I follow and play sport - especially golf, football & tennis. I also enjoy traveling.
