We documented a striking case of recreational laser-induced macular hemorrhage
We documented a striking case of recreational laser-induced macular hemorrhage, published in the prestigious internation OPHTHALMOLOGY published by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
The report follows a young man who took a selfie moments before a green laser beam at a nightclub damaged his retina, dropping his vision to 20/200. The patient thankfully recovered his eyesight.
It’s an important reminder of how powerful these lasers and lights at nightclubs and concerts can be.
Please SHARE and spread awareness- especially with the year end celebrations starting!
Congratulations to our medical director and retina expert Dr Daraius Shroff, our retina specialist Dr Minal Sharma and our academic lead and head of cornea, Dr Ritu Arora for this publication!
